# Folders, history and sharing

> Folders, share codes, Import JSON, version history and copying blocks.

## Keep things tidy with folders

On the **Commands** and **Events** pages you can make **folders**, like **Moderation** or **Economy**. Each folder has its own **⋯** menu.

## The ⋯ menu on every command and event

Press **⋯** on a row (or right-click the row) to:

| Option | What it does |
| - | - |
| **Share code** | Get a code a friend can use to copy your command. |
| **Duplicate** | Make a copy, so you can change it without breaking the original. |
| **Version history** | See older versions and bring one back. |
| **Tags** | Add little labels, so you can find things. |
| **Note** | Write a short note about it. |
| **Colour** | Give it a colour in the list. |
| **Move to folder** | Put it in a folder. |
| **Delete** | Remove it. |

## Share codes

A share code looks like `CMD-XXXXXXXX` for a command or `EVT-XXXXXXXX` for an event.

**Share yours**

**1. Open the menu**

Press **⋯** on the command or event.

**2. Get the code**

Press **Share code**.

**3. Send it**

Send the code to a friend.

**Use a friend's**

**1. Start a new command**

Press **New command**.

**2. Import it**

Pick **Import from a share code** and paste the code.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Old codes that start with `DOGE-` still work.

## Version history

Every time you save, DogeBot keeps the **old** version, for **30 days** and up to **50 versions** for each command. Open **Version history** to look at an old version and **restore** it if your new change broke something.

> [!TIP]
>
> Broke something? Don't panic. Open **Version history** and bring back the version from before.

## Import JSON

**Import JSON** opens a big window. Paste your blocks or message as text, or drop in a **.json** file. DogeBot checks it while you type and tells you clearly what is wrong.

> **Example**
>
> You paste blocks with a mistake. DogeBot says: `Block 2 has an unknown type`.

## Copy and paste blocks

Select blocks on the board and copy them, then paste them into another command. Turn on **Share copied blocks between tabs** in **Builder Settings** to paste into a command open in another browser tab. See [Tips and shortcuts](/building-with-blocks/tips-and-shortcuts).

## More ways to reuse

* The **Templates** panel in the builder's side bar has ready-made sets of blocks to start from.
* The [Marketplace](/your-bot/marketplace) has commands and events other people made.
