# Timed events list

> Timed events run by themselves on a clock, like every hour.

Timed events run **by themselves on a clock**, for example every hour. Nobody has to do anything.

> **Example**
>
> Post a daily tip every 24 hours, or check every 10 minutes if a giveaway has ended.

## Ready-made clocks

Pick one of these in the event list:

| Event | Runs |
| - | - |
| **Every 10 Seconds Timed Event** | 6 times a minute |
| **Every 1 Minute Timed Event** | Once a minute |
| **Every 5 Minutes Timed Event** | 12 times an hour |
| **Every 10 Minutes Timed Event** | 6 times an hour |
| **Every 30 Minutes Timed Event** | Twice an hour |
| **Every 1 Hour Timed Event** | Once an hour |
| **Every 3 Hours Timed Event** | 8 times a day |
| **Every 6 Hours Timed Event** | 4 times a day |
| **Every 12 Hours Timed Event** | Twice a day |
| **Every 24 Hours (Daily) Timed Event** | Once a day |

## The events

> **The ready-made clocks**
>
> **When they run:** on the clock in the table above, all by themselves.
>
> **Variables:** none about a person or a channel, because nobody did anything.
>
> **Build idea:** an hourly reminder to drink water, or a daily tip in your chat channel.

> **When a timed event is executed**
>
> **When it runs:** when one of **your own** timed events goes off.
>
> **Variables:** none about a person or a channel.
>
> **Build idea:** a message that runs once a day at a set time, only on weekdays.

## Your own timed events

Need a different time, or something that runs at a set moment? Make your own in the builder's **clock** tab (the **Timed Events** panel), then pick **When a timed event is executed**. See [Timed events](/building-with-blocks/timed-events).

**Interval**

Runs again and again, every so many seconds, minutes, hours or days. The shortest is **10 seconds**.

**Schedule**

Runs once a day at a time in **UTC**. Use **Only on** to pick the weekdays it runs.

> [!WARNING]
>
> A timed event has **no person and no channel**, because nobody did anything. So `{user_name}` and **Reply** don't work here. To say something, use **Post in a channel** and type the channel's ID.

> [!NOTE]
>
> If your bot is in more than one server, a timed event runs once for **each** server.

## Example

Under **Every 24 Hours (Daily) Timed Event**, add **Post in a channel** with your chat channel's ID and this text:

```text theme={null}
Good morning everyone! Don't forget to claim your /daily coins.
```

Once a day, the bot posts: **Good morning everyone! Don't forget to claim your /daily coins.**
