# Error Logs

> Find out what went wrong and fix it.

Sometimes a block cannot do its job. For example, your bot tries to give a role, but its own role is too low. When that happens, DogeBot writes it down in **Error Logs**.

## How to use it

1. Press **Error Logs** in the sidebar (under **Your bot**).
2. Each error tells you **which block** failed and **why**, in simple words.
3. Many errors come with a **fix tip** that tells you exactly what to change.

## The buttons on each error

| Button | What it does |
| - | - |
| **Show in builder** | Opens the builder with the broken block selected, so you can fix it. |
| **Mute** | Stops showing this kind of error. |
| **Dismiss** | Removes it from the list. |

## Common errors and fixes

| Error | Fix |
| - | - |
| The bot cannot give a role | In Discord, go to **Server Settings**, then **Roles**, and drag your bot's role **above** the role it should give. |
| The bot cannot send in a channel | Give the bot permission to **View Channel** and **Send Messages** in that channel. |
| A message is empty | Every message needs some text, an embed or a picture. |
