Your WhatsApp bot can talk to other apps. Open Apps and services in the WhatsApp menu, under Data and links.

Web addresses that start flows (incoming webhooks)

A web address is a special link. When another app (like a form, your shop, Zapier or Make) sends information to it, your flow starts.
1

Make a web address

On Apps and services, make a new web address. Press Copy.
2

Give it to your other app

Paste it into your form, shop, Zapier or Make, where it asks for a webhook URL.
3

Make a flow that listens

Make a flow that starts with When a web request arrives and pick your web address.
4

Choose who gets the message

Set Send messages to. Usually this is \{hook_phone\}, the phone number your app sent. This is needed because nobody wrote to your number first.
Every piece of information the app sends becomes a variable that starts with hook_. For example \{hook_phone\} or \{hook_order_id\}. Each web address has buttons to Copy, show its key, Send a test, Pause and Delete.

Blocks that talk to other apps

Connect Google Sheets

You don’t need to sign in to Google in DogeBot. You paste a small script into your sheet once.
1

Open your sheet

Open the Google Sheet you want the rows in (or make a new one).
2

Open Apps Script

In the sheet, press Extensions, then Apps Script.
3

Paste the DogeBot script

Delete what is in the editor. In DogeBot, go to Apps and services, press Copy on the Google Sheets script and paste it in. Press Save.
4

Deploy it

Press Deploy, then New deployment. Press the gear next to “Select type” and pick Web app. Set Execute as to Me and Who has access to Anyone. Press Deploy.
5

Allow it

Google asks for permission the first time. Press Authorize access and pick your Google account. If it says the app isn’t verified, press Advanced, then Go to (your project), then Allow. It is your own script, so this is safe.
6

Copy the link

Copy the Web app URL. It starts with https://script.google.com/macros/s/ and ends with /exec.
7

Use it in your flow

Add the Add a row to Google Sheets block. Paste the link into Sheet link. If you want, type the tab name, like Orders.
8

Pick your columns

Fill in Columns, one per line. For example:
Save the flow. Every time the block runs, a new row appears. Missing column headings are added for you.
If you change the script later, deploy it again: Deploy, Manage deployments, the edit pencil, then New version. This keeps the same link working.

Zapier and Make

On Apps and services there is step-by-step help for Zapier and Make. In short:
  • To start a flow from Zapier or Make: use a web address (see above) as the webhook in your Zap or scenario.
  • To send to Zapier or Make from a flow: make a “catch hook” in Zapier or a “custom webhook” in Make, copy its link, and paste it into the Send to an app block.
