A timed event runs by itself on a clock, like an alarm clock. Nobody has to do anything.

Example

Post a daily tip every 24 hours, or check every 10 minutes if a giveaway has ended.

Two ways to use a clock

The event list already has clocks, from Every 10 Seconds Timed Event up to Every 24 Hours (Daily) Timed Event. Make a new event and pick one.See them all in Timed events list.

Make your own timed event

1

Open the Timed Events panel

In the builder, press Timed Events in the side bar on the left.
2

Add one

Press Add New Timed Event and give it a Name. The name is shown in the trigger list when you build an event.
3

Pick when it runs

4

Use it in an event

Make a new event and pick When a timed event is executed. Then choose your timed event and add your blocks.
The panel lists your timed events under Active Events. A timed event that an event is using can’t be deleted.

Things to know

A timed event has no person and no channel, because nobody did anything. So {user_name} and Reply don’t work here. To say something, use Post in a channel and type the channel’s ID.
If your bot is in more than one server, a timed event runs once for each server.
Schedule times are in UTC, the world clock. If you live somewhere else, work out what time that is for you.
