Timed events run by themselves on a clock, for example every hour. Nobody has to do anything.

Example

Post a daily tip every 24 hours, or check every 10 minutes if a giveaway has ended.

Ready-made clocks

Pick one of these in the event list:

The events

When they run: on the clock in the table above, all by themselves.Variables: none about a person or a channel, because nobody did anything.Build idea: an hourly reminder to drink water, or a daily tip in your chat channel.
When it runs: when one of your own timed events goes off.Variables: none about a person or a channel.Build idea: a message that runs once a day at a set time, only on weekdays.

Your own timed events

Need a different time, or something that runs at a set moment? Make your own in the builder’s clock tab (the Timed Events panel), then pick When a timed event is executed. See Timed events.
Runs again and again, every so many seconds, minutes, hours or days. The shortest is 10 seconds.
A timed event has no person and no channel, because nobody did anything. So {user_name} and Reply don’t work here. To say something, use Post in a channel and type the channel’s ID.
If your bot is in more than one server, a timed event runs once for each server.

Example

Under Every 24 Hours (Daily) Timed Event, add Post in a channel with your chat channel’s ID and this text:
Once a day, the bot posts: Good morning everyone! Don’t forget to claim your /daily coins.
